Eva Dröfn and Salam Al-Nukta will host a live event through Instagram the 26th of February at 16:30 where they will discuss the importance of holding space for intersectionality, difference and solidarity in working towards gender equality. The event is open to everyone @ungarathafnakonur. No registration is needed.
Eva Dröfn is the UN Youth Delegate of Iceland on Gender Equality and is currently studying Public International Law (LLM) at the University of Amsterdam. Graduated with an interdisciplinary BSc (hons) degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics from the University of Amsterdam, with an additional minor in Gender and Sexuality studies. She’s very passionate about elevating the voices of women and youth.
Salam is an entrepreneur and startup enthusiast with a passion for bringing immediate and strategic value-added projects focusing on women’s empowerment and communities’ prosperity. She had remarkable international contributions like being a key speaker at Geneva Peace Week in 2018 and a participant in One Young World. Alongside her activism and commitment to social causes, she served with UNFPA in Syria while being one of the cohort of Young Sustainable Impact Innovation Impact for 2019. Currently, she is interning with the Ministry of Dutch Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency to develop a strategic intervention for entrepreneurship in the Middle East.
